Ready to transition from the gym to the real rock, or are you a completely new to climbing looking to experience the thrill of the outdoors? This course is perfect for climbers with indoor experience and those with no prior climbing experience at all.

Under the guidance of expert instructors, you'll learn how to tackle outdoor routes with confidence. You'll refine key skills like belaying on natural rock, tying proper knots, movement on real rock, and using specialized gear. Get hands-on experience in a breathtaking outdoor setting and learn how to navigate the unique challenges of outdoor climbing.

Whether you're a gym climber looking to take it outside or a complete beginner eager to start your climbing journey, this is your ideal introduction to outdoor climbing. Gain new confidence, enjoy the adventure, and take your climbing skills to the next level

This program can also be taken as a Custom Private Day anytime if you prefer not to be matched with others or if the offered group dates don’t work for you.

Quick Overview

Duration: 9am to 4pm

Group Size: Up to 8 (2 minimum for the program to run)

Ratios: 4 guests to 1 instructor. Larger groups will have multiple instructors.

Typical Season: April through November

Skill Level: Beginner. Appropriate for all levels of indoor climbers.

Booking Details

    • Your Guide: All of the Guides at Gunks Guides & Climbing School hold a certification from the American Mountain Guides Association and work in the terrain they are certified in.

    • All rock climbing gear (shoes, harness, helmet, belay device, chalk bag , etc.)
