Looking for a fun outdoor activity the whole family can enjoy? Our Family Climbing Day, designed for adults coming with children 15 and under, offers an engaging rock-climbing experience. Tailored for all skill levels, this experience focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and creating lasting memories.
One flat rate covers the group of up to four per guide, so there's no need to decide which kids can join the fun. Your family will learn climbing basics while enjoying a personalized adventure. A perfect way to bond and explore the outdoors together.
Quick Overview
Duration: 9am to 4pm. Use any or all of the day as you like.
Group Size: Up to 8
Ratios: 4 guests to 1 instructor. Larger groups will have multiple instructors.
Typical Season: April through November. All year if temperatures are appropriate.
Skill Level: Good for all levels

Your Guide: All of the Guides at Gunks Guides & Climbing School hold a certification from the American Mountain Guides Association and work in the terrain they are certified in.
All rock climbing gear (shoes, harness, helmet, belay device, chalk bag , etc.)

You will meet your guide and get outfitted with any gear needed at The Rock & Snow Annex in New Paltz. You’ll then jump back in your car and drive to the chosen parking area together. Click Here for direction to our meeting locations.
